The Associated Press called the race for (Rick) Scott just before 11 p.m. McCollum initially held out, waiting for the final tally and telling supporters to be patient.
At 12:34 a.m. today in an e-mailed news release, he admitted defeat. "The votes today have been tallied and I accept the voters' decision," he said, calling the primary "one for the ages.''
His concession carried with it the same pugnacious tone that marked the bare-knuckled race.
"No one could have anticipated the entrance of a multimillionaire with a questionable past who shattered campaign spending records and spent more in four months than has ever been spent in a primary race here in Florida,'' he said.
Froggers, it appears Bill McCollum has left the building.
For the harm this man has inflicted on families via perpetuation of legal myths regardless of what research revealed, for his resistance to civil rights restoration, for Terri Schiavo...
...good riddance.

Well she barely won in a three way race is what i thought. It will certainly help. She stole a dog from a CHILD. That needs to be on the air CONSTANTLY. But, the biggest part of that is she lied on the witness stand. Google pam bondi tries to hold onto dog by a toenail. She lied two or three times on the witness stand and it's public record AND in a major newspaper.
At the time people were calling to have ALL of the cases she prosecuted re-evaluated. I mean if she'll LIE to keep a child's and the other victims of one of the worst disaster's in America's history's DOG away from them .. what WOULD SHE NOT lie about?? The monent she knew that dog belonged to a child who wanted it back she should have flown it home to them BUT NO she FOUGHT this family in court .. a very ugly battle where she lied. Katrina !!!

That was back when SPT moderated comments and I'm assuming the anti-bondi ones showed up sporadically as in later articles (unmoderated) the steam against bondi and her dog theft was RABID. I know my less than kind comments of her dog thievery did not ever show up until later articles.

O'Neill part owner of the F"D UP fourgreenfields has been nominated by a host of losers to be the USA for mid district FL.
One of his references is barry cohen whose staff atty represented bondi and who was quoted as saying he wanted to help bondi because she is his neighbor. I think he thought better of it. Another O'Neill reference is Mark Ober, corrupt, criminal boss of Pam Bondi.
I don't like to speak poorly of Mr. Cohen but his involvement with these characters is something he MUST correct. He knows good people whom I know and I know he and his wife personally and his adorable son but if you serve as a reference for a criminal you MUST correct that.
