The Florida Legislature Heads to Work

A few fun facts as the Florida legislature heads into session on this very day--

Per the Gainesville Sun:
(...)

Florida has the second highest foreclosure rate in the nation. Tourism has slowed significantly. Some 680,000 unemployment claims were filed last year, the most since 1992. And Medicaid expenses now account for more than a quarter of the state's budget.

And lest anybody think we're going to "grow" our way out of this mess any time soon, the update notes that "9,300 more citizens left Florida than moved in during the previous 12 months ... the attraction of Florida for young working professionals appears to be waning as other states provide cheaper housing and better education."

So what to do? Just keep cutting spending, resisting new taxes and hope for the best?

And that Froggers, is the question of "...untenable fiscal bind...".

"Less than 30 years ago, Florida was the fifth-cheapest place to live, with plenty of jobs in construction, tourism, retailing and agriculture. But now, "we're not the fifth-cheapest, we're the 14th-most expensive."

Mark Wilson, President
Chamber of Commerce

If you see what I see .. tattooed thugs taking up every available inch and even the other people with tattoos not looking very kind it's easy to see that the mob has TAKEN OVER FLORIDA just like new jersey. And, all that accompanies the mob is wide open.
Nothing against tattoos. It was just the first obvious sign that the new people had arrived. Loosely referred to as people.
It was also obvious by the number of florida residents that disappeared in the last five to eight years. Farmers selling out, being forced out, homeowners being forced to bail ...
I attribute this without even using my imagination to the Bush administration in DC double-screwed in florida by his thieving brother who I DID try to like ...(silly me) and then in Tampa, the mayor, Pam Iorio who has certainly sold the city of Tampa down the river.
Like she doesn't drive around in her car and have eyeballs JUST LIKE ME. Then the nation wide searches for school superintendents. WHAT A JOKE. Schools are history for the most part. Yes, worse than before.
We're not even ON the list yet have A schools.
Anyway, for Tampa I will predict we will be in the same place as Lawrenceville NJ in a short time. If you haven't been perped by the city of Lawrenceville OMG you MUST GO. Just have plenty of gas. The first sign that something is very fucked up are these great big HUGE GAS JOCKEYS at EVERY STATION.
I'm telling you it's a scary little place.
Room 1408 of America.
We'll be 1409.
Brevard is no better.
Been there done that. LMAO.
Anyway .... the mob is here. They wish to divest the rest of us of our homes and liveliehoods in Florida. To that end they have destroyed citrus groves, murdered strawberry farmers and teachers who might bave een superintendent.
Attempted to murder folks in my family and otehrs and murdered COUNTLESS OTHERS.
All under the guise of accidents, illnesses and thinly disguised random shootings and car wrecks.

Well, you asked.

The mob wants it.
They're pricing the CLEAN PEOPLE out.

I'm not that clean. I'm just up for selective busting which is their other tried and trued method.

It's a sick state of affairs.

When the bottom falls out of Florida, here are you headed, Vox?

I'm saving all my money. I'm going to buy every stick and stone in the place and tear down the ugly EMPTY condos and allow Florida to relax back into the Paradise that JEBBY stole.
Dreamin .....

Good question, sunny. Obviously I'm outnumbered here but the odds (given the idiots who outnumber us) are STILL good.

What do you think?>
Where's the magic place of unbroken dreams and lovely lollipop days?

I continue to make my monthly contribution to my retirement and with stock in major companies selling for a buck, when the economy bounces back, maybe this time around, the little guy (us) might profit from the losses of those who kept us down for so long.

I like that plan...a lot.

Instead of jumping out a window, I'm jumping in this window of opportunity.

Sunny, it's so sad to me when someone does not think enough of life.

As you know, I'm no bible thumper. BUT I remember a few key phrases that I do believe came from god himself. Whatever version of a god or ungod one believes in or nothing at all ... these are okay rules for me.

The one solid one: LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

The other that I try to keep in mind: Thou shalt not worship false gods before me.

That doesn't translate for me into anything but taking care that your priorities including loving each other and if it comes down to it the only important things are those loved one and your love for them.

And, I agree about the opportunity.
Beware that a few created it FOR THEMSELVES and they are quite selfish.
Or else that's it in tampa.

I agree it's a huge window of opportunity.
I hope we will all remember to love one another and yeah when lefties talk about rush to me that's like discussing taking out the trash.

We all do it, right?
It's trash.
What's to talk about???

Mwah !!!

And now, they are afraid of losing it...that's what all their fuss is about...this isn't about some radical Obama takeover...this is about the right losing control over the purse strings....
