Funny how little media coverage the Nancy Grace Goes to Court story is getting.
Ar first, I thought perhaps the press was playing an apprehensive bit of "if we don't report the story, it's not really happening"as a favorable ruling on behalf of the the Melinda Duckett family would most definitely force the Fourth Estate as a whole to clean up its act big time.
But then I caught wind of what most likely is happening.
CNN has formally informed their employees to put a sock in it. As in keep your mouths closed. Tight.
The news organization has so muzzled its employees, that online discussion of anything topical that CNN itself could cover might lead employees straight to the unemployment line.
And I would assume that would include the latest dish on home girl Nancy Grace.
It's part of the new CNN blogging policy. Employees can blog on their free time --after obtaining permission from a supervisor--but good luck finding anything to post about.
The policy bars employees from mentioning or commenting online on topics that CNN would cover. "But without those approved exceptions, your workplace activity is proprietary and so you should not be writing on these sites about what goes on behind the scenes here at CNN."
The edict is directed towards the entire CNN family, not just news gatherers.
Meaning--
The custodial staff best not be caught keyboarding about hazardous chemicals.
***NEW CNN POLICY REGARDING PERSONAL WRITINGS ONLINE***
We’ve gotten a number of questions from CNN staff wanting clarification of CNN policy on communicating publicly about our work, or on news or public affairs — on the internet. In Blogs. In Chatrooms. On video sharing sites. On social networking sites.
Below are some of the typical questions — and our answers. We hope this is helpful to everyone,
After reading — please don’t hesitate to call or email anyone at Standards and Practices if you have further questions. (See contact info below).
MOST IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER:
UNLESS GIVEN PERMISSION BY CNN MANAGEMENT, CNN EMPLOYEES ARE TO AVOID TAKING PUBLIC POSITIONS ON THE ISSUES AND PEOPLE AND ORGANIZATIONS ON WHICH WE REPORT.
The best rule of thumb is, keep in mind whether what you are doing or saying is “in public.” In most cases, what you write online is public or can be made public.
CAN I COMMENT IN A CHAT ROOM?
It depends on what you’re commenting on. A chat room is, of course, a public place. If you identify yourself, or could in any way be identified, then you should not comment on anything CNN reports on. Remember, even though you don’t say who you are, someone else might reveal your identity. AND if you’re discussing things that are in the news, keep in mind you could be seen as representing CNN, and therefore you should not comment on the issues CNN covers.
HOW ABOUT MYSPACE, FACEBOOK OR OTHER SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES?
Again, on these sites only write about something CNN would not report on. Don’t list preferences regarding political parties or newsmakers that are the subject of CNN reporting. Local issues that CNN wouldn’t report on would be OK. And of course private communication with friends or family about issues that aren’t in the news is fine. If you are not sure, ask your supervisor or S&P for parameters on posting. (S&P contact info is listed below).
Also keep in mind that you should not be commenting or writing about what goes on in the workplace at CNN without specific approval by CNN senior managers. For example, in some cases there have and will be exceptions made to have some staff get information out to an outside audience on platforms like Twitter about our upcoming coverage plans.
But without those approved exceptions, your workplace activity is proprietary and so you should not be writing on these sites about what goes on behind the scenes here at CNN.
CAN I POST MY WORK ON YOUTUBE, PODCASTS OR OTHER VIDEO SHARING SITES?
You should not post any CNN material online unless it is approved. Likewise, if you make a short video on your own time, if there’s any question about it being something that CNN might air, first ask someone before posting it. And again, if the subject touches on anything you might cover or CNN reports or may report on, you should likely stay away from it. If it is a close call, ask your supervisor or S&P.
CAN I POST TO iReport.com?
This site was developed specifically for non-CNN material, so no, you shouldn’t. However, a separate procedure has been developed for CNN’ers to send in material. It’s called weReport and you can see the details for how it works at http://sketch.turner.com/wereport. As always, if you capture pictures or video on news stories call the national desk and they’ll help you arrange to feed it in.
HOW ABOUT SECOND LIFE?
CNN’ers are encouraged to visit Second Life, just keep in mind it’s a public place and the same rules (listed above) apply as they would to “real” public life.
CAN I HAVE MY OWN WEBSITE OR BLOG?
Yes. But you should notify your supervisor about it, to have it cleared as a non-conflict for your work. Your supervisor may choose to then have it cleared at another level or by S&P. And again, you shouldn’t post commentary on anything you might cover in your work or CNN may report on, or write about the CNN workplace or post CNN material without permission by a senior CNN manager.
WHAT ABOUT POSTING LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES, ARTICLES FROM OTHER PUBLICATIONS AND VIDEO FROM OTHER SOURCES?
Again, if your web activity clearly shows that you are taking a position on an issue CNN reports on or is likely to report on, you should avoid such activity.
In addition, you should not operate under an alias on your website or blog in order to participate in biased public behavior. Despite your use of an alias to express a view that may present a conflict of interest, it is still your opinion. Your real identity and occupation could be revealed by someone else at any point.
WHY SHOULDN’T I COMMENT ON NEWS OR CURRENT AFFAIRS?
Unless given permission to comment publicly on the issues or people we report on as a CNN analyst or commentator, it is important that you and all other CNN employees be independent and objective regarding the news and people that we cover.
If you publicly declare your preference for issues or candidates or one side or the other of the public policy issues CNN reports on, then your ability to be viewed as objective is compromised.
We appreciate that everyone has a life outside work and we encourage all of our employees to get involved with the issues that are important within their communities. That said, you need to avoid any appearance of bias or partiality. It’s just one of the responsibilities associated with working for a news organization.
WHAT IF I DON’T WORK DIRECTLY WITH NEWS GATHERING OR NEWS REPORTING BUT ELSEWHERE WITHIN THE SUPPORTING DEPARTMENTS OF CNN?
In discussions about this issue with your colleagues across CNN, it was felt by them that it was important to have this policy apply across the board. If you don’t follow this policy, and you are officially a CNN employee, the loss of objectivity won’t just apply to you, but could be associated with CNN. Therefore this policy applies to all CNN employees in all departments worldwide.
WHAT ABOUT FREELANCE EMPLOYEES AND INTERNS?
Supervisors should make sure freelancers and interns read this policy now — or on their first day going forward — and commit to following it.
CAN I GIVE SPEECHES, OR WRITE ABOUT CNN?
CNN reserves the right to say who gives speeches or makes personal appearances on behalf of CNN. A number of your colleagues do give speeches to schools, colleges, and other organizations. Those requests must first be approved by your supervisor and then will go through CNN PR for review. PR will bring them to S&P for final review and approval taking into consideration who the invitation is from, the subject matter to be discussed — and/or whether travel expenses/an honorarium are being paid. Our employees write books, and occasionally do other outside writing, but it all must be approved by your supervisor first, and then by PR and by S&P as appropriate. This policy is outlined in Section E of the Standards & Practices Policy Guide. Every employee should have a Guide and should read it and review it. (If you don’t have a Guide, please ask your HR representative for one.)

This issue is going to get CNN into even further trouble evenually. And, Nancy Grace is again the reason why. Is there a "magic number" of violations and offenses or crimes that Nancy Grace will have to hit before CNN-managment cans her butt like Court-TV and other shows finally did?
Bit by bit the media has reluctantly been forced to report on this story...check out this youtube.
The reporter appears almost apologetic that she must actually do her job and state the facts.
Excellant link Sunny, and Thank You for that. That was the first media-reporting on this matter I have seen so far. I suspect it will be all over the airways if Nancy is found to have had any liability in the death. Many Psychologists have already stated that they do belive Nancy had a definate role in the death of Melinda. It is surmized that if you simply remove that one element of when Nancy telephoned Melinda at her home, if you take that element out of the equation, Melinda may not have committed suicide on that day. I happen to agree.
I bet the old girl is sweating bullets. We wait and as always...we watch.
And many thanks to you for keeping this story alive and keeping me in the loop!
resistance is futile you will be assimilated (the Borg)
Talk about being part of the machine D
Clever types could figure a way around all that....:)

Awesome and so freaking typical of playing the Fear card! I'm posting that here...ha ha!
This policy has nothing to do with Nancy Grace and everything to do with reiterating a policy already in effect at CNN, and, frankly, a lot of other news organizations.
Under this policy, I can't tell you specifically why I think the network hasn't been covering the Nancy Grace story. But I can tell you that generally speaking, the network avoids most trial coverage until it's over and there's a verdict. Obviously, that's not always true, but it's a general rule of thumb.
As for the policy, first, here's a little piece of information that perhaps you aren't aware of. CNN's custodial staff is employed by Turner Broadcasting, which runs the building, and not by CNN. So the policy doesn't apply to them.
All of CNN's employees are, either directly or indirectly, connected with the newsgathering operations. That's why the policy applies to everyone.
Again, Nancy Grace and the blogging policy -- not related. Blogging policy -- same policy on speaking out in public CNN has always had. Nancy Grace -- Headline News' problem, really. If I felt like risking it, I'd use my alias and say a few words.
I'll reiterate what I stated over at The Crone Speaks in response to your comment--
Yet, it is the commentators who do the most damage, i.e. Nancy Grace.
Thanks for the correction. I hope to see the custodial staff blogging in the near future.
Hmmm…let’s just refer to it as ” overstated restated policy” since the firing of you-know-who, a blogger, who coincidentally has posted a fantastic blog about our girl Nancy over at Huff Post.
Judging Nancy: Is Someone Finally About to Bring the Gavel Down on Cable’s Most Reprehensible Talking Head?.
It didn't take CNN long to send out damage control.
Good luck with the lawsuit. CNN is going to need it.
CNN will do what large companies have always done: Settle out of court and sweep it under the rug, thus nothing of any value will be accomplished other than a lot of money changing hands, if that can be called value.
And as I said over at Crone, I wish television viewers had more sophistication, I guess is the word -- to understand that commentators like Nancy and Bob and all those other ... um, mouthpieces ... do nothing but spout their own opinions often will little relation to facts. Back in the day, newspaper readers seemed to have a better understanding of that with the op-ed columnists, although often the newspapers themselves presented a particular point of view.
Maybe that's the problem with television news. We present ourselves as "unbiased," but then very time one of the commentators opens his or her mouth, we look that much more biased.
Ironically, at least in CNN's case, the network is often accused of being both too right leaning and too left leaning. There's a tendency to say, in cases like that, that it means the network is doing it right, and in many cases, that may well be true. But it's not true across the board. I suspect, oddly enough, that that has as much to do with trying to appeal to too many people at once (and so appealing ultimately to too few) than any amount of real political/cultural/social/whatever bias.
As for Chez's comments about Nancy Grace -- inconsequential, really. Sometimes a coincidence is just a coincidence, although often I think it just has to do with whatever information is floating around in the collective unconsciousness at the time. I'm pretty sure that's why my friend in Florida calls me the day I've been thinking about calling him. It's in the air.
Anyway, there's a natural tendency among truly thinking people to look with suspicion on something like CNN -- big and impersonal, owned by Time Warner, something even bigger and more impersonal. It makes perfect sense. But the folks who are doing the work are not big and impersonal. They're fairly normal sized -- in all that entails -- and most are quite personable. I'll bet you didn't know that Jim Walton, the president of CNN, actually started with the network as a "video journalist" -- the entry-level position -- and worked his way up. That's pretty impressive when you think about it.
As for Nancy ... I once (half) joked that my greatest fear was running into her in a darkened hallway, and then one day I did. She smiled and said "hello." Whatever happens, she'll still be Nancy Grace, just like all the other talking heads who've drawn negative attention are still who they are. And they'll still have a place on the air, because unfortunately, the networks still have to pay the bills to stay on the air -- and some of these folks draw in the viewers by the bushel. Until those television viewers learn to tell the difference between BS and facts (and maybe it's just me, but I don't think it's all that difficult, if you try just a little), they'll still be with us. If not Nancy, then someone else.
I do my part to tell the truth, small though it may be. And I take great heart that there are folks all over the world speaking truth as loudly and persistently as they can. The world is a big place. It takes time to change it. But it'll change. I'm pretty sure of that.
I realized after posting this that I probably sound like I'm blaming viewers for TV's mess. Viewership does have a part to play. But so do the networks that consistently play to the lowest common denominator, usually by oversimplifying and failing to step back and put "the news" into any real perspective. We think, erroneously I believe, that "the viewers" won't respond to that. The networks pay too much attention to what they think the viewers want and too little attention to our responsibility to tell the truth and help sort things out rather than inflame passions.
I appreciate your honest comments.
As I mentioned over at The Crone, it takes intelligence to read a print op-ed. Anyone can watch television. Therein lies the difference. Litigation entertainers like Grace and likewise“commentators” know how to stir up the masses of which you speak–it’s an entirely different audience than those who actually pick up and read a newspaper.
And I--as you--believe that "the folks who are doing the work are not big and impersonal. They're fairly normal sized -- in all that entails -- and most are quite personable" as that goes for any profession;however, IMHO, Grace has been a gold mine for CNN. She brings in a viewership that both adores and vehemently hates her which translates into ratings. But she--and CNN--got heady and stepped over some sort of ethical line, if not for broadcasting, definitely for the world from where she came--the legal world. CNN failed to rein her in way back and now, sadly with this case, the news corporation must support what has been allowed to run unrestrained.
Also, one point. Nancy Grace utilized her position to promote political policy, i.e. the Jessica Lunsford travesty, which prompted a way slanted, hysteric viewpoint with the end result culminating in child protection laws that have are punishing many ex post facto, many who have been unfairly labeled child molesters, many whose families suffer everyday from laws that have segregated them from society.
That's dangerous when someone like Grace can influence policy without investigation of all viewpoints. It only takes seconds to sign a bad bill into bad law but years for the courts to overturn the same. It's tragic what her responsibility has been under the guise of protecting children. Trenton Duckett obviously was not protected by her ravings or any child protection law on the books.
As far as settling, actually, I believe CNN probably has tried to settle with the family...and they have refused.
Some things are bigger than money.
CNN has not and did not listen to a large outcry from a rational audience for propriety when it came to Grace. Now, they will pay for it...one way or another.
Personally, I hope Nancy will "retire to care for her children".
But I've got my fingers crossed that the lawsuit goes to court and sends a message to broadcasting as a whole.
Feel free to stop by and comment as the case proceeds. I'm certain many would appreciate your input.
From an Anonymous poster:
CNN's Nancy Grace is the most loathsome, feckless troll to currently, inexplicably, have a forum on national television. She's a vile, unscrupulous monster who peddles morbid prurience like a cheap streetwalker and whose brand of rank solipsism is matched only by her near-sociopathic disregard for the lives she's ruined and exploited and by her apparent contempt for the tenets of responsible journalism (to say nothing of basic human decency).
Nancy Grace might face criminal charges of obstructing justice in addition to the wrongful death civil action.
Documented, proven, and available on the web for verification.

A post from Martel Brinkley:
Where is CAYLEE ANTHONY? Who knows, and frankly, if the mother and the family doesn’t care, well that’s as far as it should go as long as Caylee has not been harmed. Nancy Grace is so obsessed with the fact that Casey has been caught in many lies. But, why should Nancy care, she herself has been caught in even more lies than that. Nancy fails to mention that fact on her show. Maybe an approach should be that CNN should give Nancy a case of her desired Budlights and have Nancy sit down and make a video of a conversation of Nancy listing all the lies she has told, then make a list of all the other lies documented that Nancy committed but she didn’t own up to, and then make a list of the lies by Casey Anthony. The list of lies from Casey will be substantially smaller than the list of lies Nancy has been caught on. Nancy has a much more horrendous track record then Casey. The jealousy Nancy has about Casey exudes from Nancy’s coverage of this case. Nancy should never again be allowed to cover any active police investigation because her unprofessional actions have proven to be unethical, sometimes illegal, and sometimes resulting in death. Casey is a tribute to a good mother, which she has been for years. Nancy, on the other hand, has only been a mother for months and already has been suspected of molesting the twin(s) according to that one site. Tonight, Nancy was obviously drunk or high on her medications again. It was clear when she called a guest “Johnny Cochran” which was not his name. Johnny Cochran has been deceased for quite some time. Perhaps that should be looked into to see if Nancy was a factor in that death too.
Nancy couldn’t care less about any “victims.” It’s all the mouth (Nancy) with jealousy of Casey! Nancy proved she only cares about show biz and her ratings. And, her latest rant about the mother in Florida with a missing child is based upon Nancy’s jealousy….the mother is cute with a great body. Nancy is old and her tummy has expanded….hence Nancy’s comments about how horrible the “great body” contest is….Nancy wouldn’t be allowed in. Nancy is foaming at the mouth with jealousy and hatred for any person who is great looking enough to have anyone admire them, instead of what Nancy had to do which was to pay someone to marry her in an attempt to minimize her federal lawsuits whoa’s, and to have some doctors put some twins inside of her long enough to incubate them before she ended up back in the hospital due to her extreme old age and her drug and alcohol addiction problems she says she has.
I believe it is certainly all about her ratings and the marriage that "resulted" in the birth of twins was conveniently timed.
The twins she "purchased" were pure damage-control.
Nancy: A “Grandmother of Twins”
BREAKING NEWS: On Nancy’s show tonight, a caller named Bernie called in (allegedly, most calls are made by staffers) and said to Nancy that she ‘too is a grandmother of twins‘. In reality, Nancy is not yet a grandmother, even though her age and her appearance dictates that scenario. That call will likely result in another overnight stay at one of Nancy’s three psych-hospitals that will be mandated from CNN by the completion of the original taping of that show. It largely depends upon the large amounts of medication that Nancy has disclosed she is on, and has to remain on for the rest of her life, all due to the fact she had twins from two different fathers implanted in her many months ago in her attempt to gain sympathy from jurors in some of the many upcoming lawsuits against Nancy by victims of her crimes. Some lawsuits have been filed in state court, and some are pending in federal court as of this date and time. Many more lawsuits against Nancy are expected as reported by several victims Nancy has committed crimes against victims including the victims of the Duke case Nancy criminally smeared the reputation of in an alleged event that never even took place as Nancy said it did. Get your checkbook ready, Nancy, looks like you are certainly going to be needing it soon. And, Nancy, put the bottles down, both of your drugs and of your alcohol, please! You have harmed far too many people already, including yourself and your children.
Nancy Grace is a disgusting self righteous pig. In the public court she convicts many, destroys lives and either literally or figuratively causes death (many times based on info from the government which she knows contains lies or implausible suppositions). God will be here judge and if this woman Nancy killed is innocent, Nancy will be held accountable in the after life (if there is one). There is no difference between what Nancy does and putting a gun to some ones head and blowing their brains out (in fact, blowing their brains out may be more compassionate than the emotional and public trauma she inflicts based on circumstantial evidence).
I'd love to know how worried she is about this upcoming trial.
She certainly has missed a lot of her shows since the three Judges ruled against her. But, that appears to be the price for assisting in a suicide she did. If you watch closely, on some shows her left wrist twiches a lot, not sure if that is just symptomatic of her addictions to both alcohol and prescription drugs, or due to her increased anxiety knowing so many people will be watching her be held accountable in another lawsuit. Either way, if you simply eliminate that phone call Nancy made to Melinda at her home that one night, Trenton may well be safe at his home right now.
Or so many people not watching her....:)
The actual death-toll of the victims that have lost their life as a direct result of the unprofessional actions of Nancy Grace is unknown as of this date. Due, in-part, to the inability of the dead victims to now make such an adequate and prolific statement of the account of Nancy’s heinous influence of her inaccurate, illicit, and sometimes illegal actions documented by this known Predator-of-victims. Basically, and as simple as possible, Nancy’s goals and actions are always self-serving to her, and have never been, in any stretch of the imagination by any well educated person, to be for the victim of any crime in any capacity. Since Nancy has never been a victim of any crime herself, contrary to her claim, she conveys a clueless-ness of any and all ability to understand anything about any need, any desire, or any understanding of any victim in any situation. Thus resulting in a track record of her inappropriate actions, sometime illicit, sometimes, immoral, and sometimes illegal actions she documents against real victims of crimes, and most notably, sometimes resulting in the loss of life of some of those victims by her idiotic self-promoting and selfish actions who is going under the false-name of Nancy Grace.
You just described a perfect narcissist.
Which Nancy is.
It's all about her.
There is a new Nancy site about to start up. It's linked through Goggle and it's name is the letters without the "*'s". It fu**nancygrace dot com, look it up. It will also be linked through the nancygracemustdie site as well. Check it out, Nancy will love it too.
Personally, I might have chosen a different name than the site name mentioned above. But, I too would have likely done the same for the Nancy Grace Must Die site too. But, while on the extreme edge concerning the names, they are appropriate for the type of person Nancy actually is. The description is quite accurate in both cases.
Thanks for the info. I wonder if someone is trying to profit off what we all have known for some time with the new site...
Curious if you heard yet, there Sunny, when the trial will be held or if they plan to have camera's in the courtroom. I did read somewhere that Nancy and CNN are trying to get cameras banned and not to allow anyone other then the Plaintiffs and the Defendants inside the courtroom, which is consistent with how Nancy and CNN has handled this case thus far. Nancy forgot to mention how she was observed crying on the floor of the Judge's office many months ago, literally, trying to get this case dismissed. This IS the only reason she paid all that money to have those twins. The timing was not coincidental. It is all about Nancy and her attempts to get this case, and other cases against her thrown out. She is expecting a ton of lawsuits coming against her like from the Duke and Holloway victims, to mention just a few I have read about. And, she writes books about how money buys high-priced defense attorneys to skirt Justice. Hypocritical to say the least.
I see that Nancy was banned again from doing her show last night, wonder how many days she has to remain in rehab this time. Well, like Joe B. said so well,"you can put lipstick on a pig and it’s still Nancy Grace."
And here's the the pic to prove it!
(Thanks for making me laugh out loud!)
"HOUSTON - Rescue crews navigated flooded and debris-strewn streets Saturday to search for those who insisted on staying and riding out a fierce Hurricane Ike, which shattered skyscraper windows, cut power to millions and flooded thousands of homes as it sloshed across the Texas coast. It has been reported that Hurricane Ike originated from the winds caused from Nancy Grace shooting off her mouth again and the deaths occurred may have been designated by this disaster. Specific counts of injuries and deaths associated with the un-professional conduct of Nancy Grace have not yet been able to be determined, since the area of her mouth reaches such a large population. Stay tuned for future updates on the damage caused by Nancy."
New video of crimes by Nancy Grace and Beth Holloway.
New information about the crimes of Beth Holloway-Twitty in the case of missing Natalee Holloway that Nancy Grace was also deeply involved within. There just remains no known reason why Nancy and Beth continue to lie and to violate the law.
The Unrevealed Timeline (Timelies) showing Beth Twitty lies.
If Casey Anthony tells another 8,936,799.801 more lies and untruths, maybe then she may be getting closer to the number of lies and untruths Nancy Grace has told.
What if the truth lies somewhere in weeds of Anthony's fabrications? That worries me as once again, she was rearrested.
The whole thing is odd.
But, she's back out again. The pundit's guests are saying now, the knowledgeable pundits, are now saying that even if Casey is convicted on all of those fraud and check charges where Nancy says she'll do about 60 years, most knowledgeable guests have been saying that even if found guilty, she'll likely do no time on them because it is merely a property offense crime and Casey will likely only get a term of probation since she has a clean record thus far.
I've got my fingers crossed the kid is alive.
Same here, Sunny.
It has been totaled up that Casey Anthony would have to lie another 57,894,288,476,294,592,731,293,850,499,062 more times to tie the lies and untruths Nancy has documented against herself. Keep trying Casey, but you'll look as old as Nancy does when you get to that point of surpassing Nancy's documented lies and untruths.
Anthony's been arrested yet again.
I literally make comment as to how much I hate that woman every time I see her or her name. As a member of the legal field I have most certainly dealt with my fair share of pretentious twits but this woman takes the cake. Nancy Grace is a complete joke and she creates a mockery of CNN and its affiliates. In all honesty I think that a lot of the reason Scott Peterson was convicted was due to her hateful and angry little bitter diatribes and constant ranting tirades. I have to change the channel when I see her show, she and the majority of the people she talks to on her show remind me of flashy National Enquirer reporters. She’s a tool.
I see that tot-mom got back out of jail again. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, Nancy Grace said she would never get out on bond again. Gosh, another lie by Nancy.
I hope (possibly beyond hope) that the child is alive.
Tot Mom has once good case of police harasment, not to mention civil suits against those vigilantes that are "protesting" across the street from her house and have trespassed onto the property.
The guests on the show should not be bombarding Nancy with facts of the Anthony case that Nancy still does not understand or comprehend. It only makes Nancy out to be a silly hore who is resistant of the facts she may not personally agree with or understand. If those guests continue to beat Nancy up so badly night after night, it will only serve to place Nancy back into the hospital for her alcoholism and drug issues that Nancy has said she will have for the rest of her life. How many times do they think they have to kick a dead horse (or a pig with lipstick) before they understand that Nancy is beyond all comprehensible reasoning of any case she so adamantly is proven so incorrect on? Leave Nancy alone and stop making her look so bad, and so drunk! It isn’t fair to Nancy who really is trying to cut down on her drug and alcohol usage. She has allegedly said her goal is to someday have unsupervised visits with those twins she bought, and to hopefully gain the ability to have an overnight stay with them both someday way down the road.
The guests should just boycott her show. That would take care of Nancy.
UGLY NANCY, tonight 8/7c on ABC. Visit ABCdotcom for details. Ohh wait, that’s ugly Betty tonight on ABC. Ugly Nancy is on at 8 on CNN.
I saw someone that looks a bit like Nancy Grace sitting on top of a garbage dumpster drinking from a bottle that appeared to be a Jack Daniels brand-log bottle, a big bottle and the contents were almost all gone, so I reported it to the police officer I saw walking on the street nearby. (Nancy has been documented to go “undercover and incognito“). This individual did have on a pink wig with a whole bunch of spit on her jacket and on her face. He stated “looks like Nancy Grace drinking, again?” He further stated that in this area they get 20-30 calls per week of the same allegation. When I asked why don’t they do something about it, he responded that they do not interfere as long as Nancy is not again harming other people or other people’s pets, or if she is not again urinating in the streets again. And, the kids she bought are always with a sitter because Nancy is not allowed around them while high or intoxicated, so she rarely gets to visit with them. Do we count this as a good thing in Nancy’s drug and alcoholism treatment theology? Listen, you do have to consider that at least she did not help to end the life of anyone or of any puppy in this fiasco, not at least so far this month.
OCALA - Several weeks after a federal judge in Ocala denied a motion to dismiss a wrongful death lawsuit brought against television talk show host Nancy Grace and her parent company, CNN, the network has responded with a volley of denials to the allegations, court records show. In a document filed Aug. 19, the defendants deny their actions intentionally inflicted emotional distress on former Lake County resident Melinda Duckett or her surviving parents, Bethann and William Eubank, of Lockport, N.Y. The defendants go on to list several reasons why Grace or the network should not be held responsible for Duckett's suicide, which took place just a day after she was grilled on Grace's show on Sept. 7, 2006.
Such defenses include: that the TV host is protected by the First Amendment, that she acted without malice, that her conduct was privileged, that the Eubanks do not meet "a stringent standard" for an intentional infliction of emotional distress claim and that the plaintiff's claims are barred by actions the defendants believe Duckett brought upon herself.
Denial of the charges was expected, said plaintiff's attorney Kara Skorupa. Skorupa said while she is a firm believer in free speech, "you can't hide behind the First Amendment." If you harm somebody, you can't hide behind an amendment that was never meant to shield you from liability," she said, adding the case is now moving into the discovery phase.
CNN had no comment Friday. Duckett, 21, agreed to be questioned by Grace by telephone regarding the disappearance of her 2-year-old son, Trenton, who she reported missing on Aug. 27, 2006. Her parents say she agreed to do the interview, thinking it would enlist the public's help in finding her son. Instead, they say Grace pummeled her with veiled accusations that she murdered her son. The next day, Duckett shot herself at her grandparents' home in The Villages, leaving behind three suicide notes-one for her adoptive parents, one to her grandparents, and one to the public. The network decided to air the interview anyway, just hours after learning of her death. Next Wednesday marks the two-year anniversary of Trenton's disappearance.
Good post.
By the way, The Villages is a huge conclave of Republican residents. Sarah Palin drew 60,000 of the party faithful to her recent speech held there, simply because it's a GOP stage.
I wonder how many of the residents feel Nancy can wrap herself in the 1st amendment...not many, I bet.
The TM site and the NGMD-site has a vid-clip on that recent negligence-incident of Nancy Grace of her saying she threw the boy-baby from the bed onto the floor, and the baby fell on top it’s head onto hardwood floors that can pose a significant potential damage to a baby so young. Nancy has already admitted to doing this horrendous act (and crime) against her own son John David, as verified by the statement Nancy made on the attached video-clip. Some doctors and psychologists say that actual signs and symptoms of the potential cerebral-damage-injuries sustained from that fall may not be immediately visible or detectable through x-rays or cat-scans, and the traumatic factors incurred may not be visible for quite some time afterward. As Nancy continues to harm these kids, they will both build up increasing anxiety and frustrations resulting in a greater likelihood that if Nancy does not get them removed from her custody by DCF (highly likely), the doctors have pointed out there remains an extremely high probability of both those twins running away from home as soon as they reach the doorknobs. Run little ones, save yourselves, time is of the essence because a mother with such a significant drug-usage and alcohol-abuse problems is destine to repeat her horrendous actions. Look twins, she currently in courts right now fighting cases where she is suspected to helping to kill mothers of missing children. RUN!!!
Nancy was wrong about the OJ Simpson case, he was found guilty on all counts.
Yes. She certainly was.
OJ went to retrieve his own stolen property and got a conviction like this? Those "victims" better just be glad they didn't steal anything from me, they wouldn't have gotten off so easily as OJ allowed them.
OJ Simpson is found guilty on all counts proving, once again, that Nancy Grace was wrong about her false-assertions and false-predictions on her coverage on this case too. Perhaps finally, charges may be leveled against Nancy for those crimes she documented against herself, and then the prosecutors can look into her admissions that she threw her son, John David, off the bed and onto the floor where he landed on his head. Nancy even made statements that she said she would not have buried his body if John David had died from that assault by Nancy. But, Nancy claims she frantically ran outside into the street where she says she flagged down a cab to take John David to the hospital instead of calling 911 where there would be more documented evidence of the crime Nancy impaled upon this victim-tot.
Stupid Nancy is not hoping that Caylee Anthony is found, the only thing Nancy wants found is Caylee to be found dead and Casey Anthony to be found guilty of first-degree-premeditated-murder, and Nancy will not accept anything less. Nancy has helped “zero” in the search for Caylee. Did Nancy forget that Nancy was found to be incorrect on every facet of the Duke Lacrosse case where Nancy claimed many were guilty, and she even ended up paying out tens-of-millions in damages to the victims she defamed in that case. What about the other over-948 cases Nancy has been incorrect on? One has to consider the fact that Nancy has been photographed during some of her drinking-binges, and she has been documented in her illegal activities in many cases, including the case she is currently trying to fight in State and Federal courts right now. When Nancy finally does goes to prison for her crimes against real victims of crimes, hopefully CNN will cover what she gets served for her meals in prison. When she gets served ice-cream in a cup, everyone will have to explode! And, don’t forget about the ‘chicken-on-bone meals.’ The best part of the time away for Nancy will be to the benefit of the twins she bought, they have actually already endured enough damage by Nancy to last them a lifetime. Has DCF alcohol-breathalysed those twins yet when in-accompany of Nancy? Blood tests may also secure an abnormality in drugs induced by Nancy also to the twins. There’s an accident waiting to happen; for sure!
With Nancy Grace attempting to sport a new hairstyle mandated by CNN, Nancy fails to mention to viewers that the reason she is required to scale down her soup-bowl head of hair is because the shorter hair may help CNN management to better easily identify when Nancy might try to “hose-her-alcohol” through a small clear tubing that would allow Nancy access to more alcohol while taping her show, especially during the commercial breaks. What some drunks and druggies like Nancy will do to get their “fix”!!!
Nancy Grace arrested over Caylee Anthony kidnapping. FBI raided the offices of the Nancy Grace show yesterday and placed Headline News Cable TV's Nancy Grace in handcuffs. Grace was arrested regarding the kidnapping Caylee Anthony. That same evening Nancy Grace's home was also raided and her twins were taking into protective custody. The Smoking Pistol website had the all the details of the arrest and Grace's mug shot on the site. Smoking Pistol reports that the authorities found a cheap woman's weave made of Cuban human hair with bad highlights and a phony work permit in the name of Zenida Gonzales at the residence of Nancy Grace hidden under mounds of Anne Nicole Smith paraphernalia. The site reports that Nancy Grace was taken kicking and screaming. She was yelling to her assistant to get California bounty hunter Leonard Padilla on the line and have him bail her out as she was led out. Once Grace knew this was a great moment to get more ratings she screamed at her camera to catch all the action so she could talk about the arrest for several months to bored housewives. Casey Anthony's lawyer, Jose Baez, suddenly called for a news conference and demanded his client be released. He said "It appears there was a Zenida Gonzales after all. We just didn't suspect that the mysterious Zenida Gonzales would be Nancy Grace herself". The Smoking Pistol reports that Nancy Grace had kidnapped Caylee Anthony so she could create massive ratings for her own show on Cable TV. Also found at Nancy Grace's residence were copies of fake birth certificates that were not filled out and a rolodex of famous celebrities who recently had babies, including Clay Aiken and Angelina Jolie. Authorities did not offer any details on the whereabouts of Caylee Anthony, because Nancy Grace was still being interrogated. The Smoking Pistol documents that authorities told them that Nancy Grace not only had kidnapped Caylee Anthony but it was also discovered that Grace was part of an elaborate baby selling, drug dealing and murder for hire business on the side besides hosting her show on Cable TV on Headline News. It was also reported that Grace hired people to protest in front of Casey Anthony's parents home, to give the case more sense of drama, but it was reported that Grace was so cheap the protesters had to pay for their gas to get to Casey's parents home. The FBI started to suspect Grace was behind many of the cases that she highlighted on her show when they tailed Drew Peterson, the policeman with the missing young wife, and photographed Peterson handing Grace an envelope stuffed with thousand dollar bills at a Bolingbrook Denny's. That started the whole investigation toward Nancy Grace being the culprit in many of her most famous cases on her show. The Smoking Pistol said that the authorities had found records that showed that Nancy Grace had sold prescription drugs to Howard Stern, the lawyer for Anne Nicole Smith. Grace was also part owner of the stripper service in Durham, North Carolina, that Crystal Gail Mangum worked for when she went to perform for the Duke Lacrosse Team. Grace had been angered that her girls had been stiffed by the young men.
We love you Nancy. Keep showing us pictures of your great grandkids, they are aborable.
Are those the kids you are suspected of molesting?
Clearly, ALL of the evidence in the Casey Anthony case is pointing toward her innocence. Casey is innocent and everyone knows it. Nancy and her pals are just playing “pretend courtroom” like little kids that dress up in Superman costumes. Casey is obviously innocent, it is clear that she DID NOT DO IT, and even a blind person could see how traumatized she has been over this, and how cruel Nancy Grace is to keep accusing her with her LIES. The only LIAR in this fiasco is Nancy Grace. Casey is obviously INNOCENT, and should be freed immediately. Clearly - she did not do it, and anyone can see that she is innocent. The Nancy Grace show is just a huge, giant pack of LIES. Nancy is wrong, yet again. Science will prove it.
A huge search was conducted 11/7 and according to the Orlando Sentinel, it appears no remains have been found.
I'm praying that this little child is alive for so many reasons.
August 25, 2008 vid-clip of Nancy Grace (without all her make-up on, and false eye-lashes that she paints on her face before each show on CNN).

Friday December 5, 2008, the case of Casey Anthony has been predicted by Nancy Grace of CNN through the sentencing phase of the O.J. Simpson armed robbery case. For many months now, Nancy Grace has stated over and over that O.J. Simpson would be sentenced and not be ever allowed out of prison in his lifetime. Which again, Nancy Grace was proven wrong once again. O.J. Simpson will be free some day, up for parole in just around 60 months or so, and this case might be the case to finally get Nancy Grace off the air and behind bars where she belongs. Instead of the life sentence that Nancy Grace deserves for her role ion the deaths of several non-convicted victims, Nancy Grace should hopefully be eligible for release in something like seventeen years, so that she will not be able to negatively impact those two kids she bought as her defense argument in some of her state and federal lawsuits filed against her that she recently lost. We will wait for you O.J. and Casey, sure wouldn’t want to be the judge in either of those cases. Both defendants will surely make millions beginning the day they are back on the streets again, and fairly soon. This new wrong prediction today by Nancy Grace will certainly result in another stay at Nancy’s rehab facility for her drinking and drug problems once again, as it so often results in that way for her when she is so opening humiliated and mocked for her continued errors. Perhaps it would be easier for Nancy to just keep her mouth shut until she learns to only speak the truth. But, that hasn’t happened yet, and look how old this old-fart is as she displays pictures of her on her supervised visits with her great grandkids David and Lucy.
I have to disagree with all those that believe that Nancy Grace has helped this Anthony case. She has not, and may have in-fact have compromised the culpability-factor which will likely result in a non-conviction of the most serious charge(s). After all the time Nancy Grace put into interfering with the Anthony's, how ironic that Nancy and her staff were only a few small steps away from where someone found Caylee. How ironic for sure. Looks like Nancy needed the ratings-boost for money for her alleged alcohol and drug addictions. Looks quite suspicious, and hopefully an investigation is completed and charges for Nancy Grace’s role in interfering with a police investigation is handed down against Nancy Grace and her staff.
Good summation of everything that is wrong with litigation entertainment.
Thank you for posting.
