Harris & Feeney-Top Twenty Most Corrupt List

Katherine and Tom!
You make Florida so proud!

Top Twenty Most Corrupt Members of Congress:

“CREW created this exhaustive go-to guide on corruption in Congress to expose and hold accountable those members of Congress who believe they are above the law,” Melanie Sloan, executive director of CREW said today. “The officials named in this report have chosen to enrich themselves and their families and friends by abusing the power of their office, rather than work for the public good. Their collective corruption affects all Americans.”

CREW has also re-launched the report’s tandem website, www.beyonddelay.org. The site offers short summaries of each member’s transgressions as well as the full-length profiles and all accompanying exhibits.

By the way. What's happining with William Jefferson (D-LA)???
While "his people" sat on rooftops awaiting rescue, he used a military helicopter to fly to his flooded home to pick up some cold cash that had been thawing in his freezer. He was caught red handed, on tape accepting bribes. He still sits in his chair at the US House? If he had been a Republican, the screaming from the news media, daily, would be deafening. He is a Democrat. The silence from the media is also deafening.

Now that I think about it. Couldn't CREW add every member of Congress to the corrupt list as they take yearly increases to their salaries as Ford, Boeing and other large corporations lay off tens of thousands of workers? The study says that 77% of the public now view congress unfavorably. Where the heck did they find 23% of the population that think congress is doing a good job?

boone didn't you know the 23% are the ones working for the government

Boone,

Jefferson is on the list. I guess the only people that lose their jobs after their offices are raided are the regular working Americans.

He is not the only one that continues to work after his ethical breach. Couple of other names on this list still making decisions for our country while cutting a deal with the prosecution during their off time...which is probably on our dime as well.

Good one, prism...ha ha.
